Cookies and browser storage
Invisible Offer's storefront measurement uses Shopify's Web Pixel and browser storage for session correlation. This page distinguishes those functions from advertising cookies and describes the current implementation.
Marketing website
The current marketing pages do not include a third-party advertising pixel or a separate marketing analytics tag in the application code. The site may still use essential platform or security storage depending on how the page is served. Review deployed hosting and Shopify App Bridge settings before treating this statement as a complete cookie inventory.
Shopify storefront measurement
The Web Pixel uses sessionStorage for a random, visit-scoped session identifier. When Shopify reports an explicit affirmative analytics permission, it can create or read a pseudonymous experiment-unit identifier in localStorage so assignment can remain stable across tabs and return visits. The pixel is configured with analytics enabled, marketing and preferences disabled, and sale-of-data disabled. Shopify's Customer Privacy API supplies the analytics permission signal.
The storefront executor can read those identifiers to request an already-authorized server decision. It does not create the persistent identifier itself and does not send browser cookies to the Invisible Offer API. Shopify's own cart endpoints may use Shopify-controlled browser state.
Manage browser storage
You can manage or clear site storage through your browser settings. Clearing sessionStorage ends the current session correlation; clearing localStorage removes the saved experiment-unit identifier. Shopify's privacy controls govern whether analytics measurement is allowed. Blocking storage may reduce cross-page or cross-visit experiment correlation.
